Through My Green Eyes.

The short story about a gypsy girl with green eyes

The ritual dance round about the fire hypnotized him irremediably. Looking at those two little stars suddenly he felt lost in a strange world.

“Can you tell me what future will bring?”

Holding his hand the gypsy girl read the lines in a whisper. She knew every single part of him long before the arrival. She knew his thoughts, his feelings, his dreams long before this lifetime.

Two strangers coming from two different worlds …

She gently touched his face and felt her fortune.

“Tell me a story so i can sleep in your arms.”

Her stories were sad and she prefered the safe silence. He kissed her green eyes, her sweet lips, her silky dark hair and felt he kissed a future that will never come.

“Once upon a time, there was a gypsy girl …” she began to say, but he was already gone …

It’s never easy to trust someone, it’s never easy to lose someone you once trusted. “Was it all a dream? Was it all a mistake? Was it all a game?” She wondered.

“Because if it was … i’ve lost, and i accept my defeat with gypsy pride and grace.” Things can never be the same again …

He opened his eyes and searched the empty room. Reality broke the dream. In the air the shadow of a sweet perfume was floating … He noticed in his hand a small coin …

“I’ve won …”, he thought. “I’ve won again a broken dream …”

mountiangirl, It is eerily uncanny how much you and I are alike! I found your page/blog while searching for a drawing or painting (not a photo) of a green eyed gypsy girl to use as a profile pic for my ghost blog (similar to the ghost writer paradigm). I am LilyMoonThunder.
